Service
Focus groups
Co-production sessions that bring lived experience into service design.
What it is
Our focus groups bring together small groups of service users, families, or community stakeholders to share experiences and shape services. These sessions are part of our co-production approach and help ensure that services remain relevant, accessible, and responsive.
Focus groups may be used to gather feedback, explore community needs, or support the design of new interventions. They also help strengthen partnership working between lived-experience networks, voluntary organisations, and statutory services.
Who it’s for
- Commissioners and services who want to hear directly from the people they serve
- Voluntary and community organisations shaping a new offer
- Projects that need lived-experience input designed in from the start
What a session is like
We plan each group with you first, agree the questions, and recruit and support participants so the conversation is safe and genuinely open. Facilitation is trauma-informed, and we write up what we heard in a clear, usable report. Length, preparation, and reporting are scoped to what you need.
How to start
You can enquire directly, or ask a school, GP or local authority to refer you. Mention this service and we’ll pick up from there.
